Barbados Destination Wedding featured on The Knot. Kristy and Philip's wedding was held on the cliffside of The Crane Resort on the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados. Many family and friends from New York City, California, Philippines and the United Kingdom came to attend the beautiful tropical wedding and witness the couple get married.

Love traveling and when traveling to capture beautiful moments in a beautiful island with beautiful people, it's just magical! The wedding took place at the Hale Ohana House's Terrace where we had access to the beach to get beautiful classic Hawaii backdrop. Sheila just looks amazing in her Pnina Tornai wedding dress from Kleinfeld's Bridal with her Badgley Mischka shoes and Alex just looked dashing in his Mark Ecko gray suit. When it comes to Destination Wedding photography, I am definitely bias since I myself was once a destination wedding bride! Me and my husband were married in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I remember just being online for hours surfing the web doing research, stalking forums on TheKnot.com and Weddingbee.com, but also making friends with many Destination Wedding (DW) Knotties! If it weren't for them I would have been clueless as to how we would plan a destination wedding. As you can see from Kristy and Philip's images below, destination weddings are just breathtaking. The added perks of a destination wedding is that your backdrop tends to have a lot more scenery and bluer than let's say a NYC Wedding. I love being a NYC wedding photographer, but traveling overseas or event to a different state like Florida, California, Texas and more are also so worth it. You get different scenery and you and your guest can make a vacation out of it! So for every couple that decides to have a destination wedding, my heart is just joyful since I know first-hand how they are feeling, what it took to get to this day and time, and how every planning process was just worth it! I have so many friends who did get married overseas in Mexico, Puerto Rico, The Philippines, and more and each one of them stated it was just worth it. Can't wait to go back to one of the islands! Where will we travel to next to shoot an amazing destination wedding? :-) We love to travel especially in winter!
For Kristy and Philip, their wedding was a dream come true. With their closest friends as witnesses, and with family and friends back in New Jersey, New York, California and England feeling the cold weather, this gorgeous couple said their "I Do's" by the cliffs at The Crane Residential Resort in beautiful, warm, sunny Barbados. This wedding was just amazing with so many DIY crafts and eye candy to behold! The bride and groom did an amazing job planning every single detail of their wedding, from their invitations, to the DIY programs, stationery cards, photo booth, and so much more. They brought in the services of Ivie Joy Flowers & Events who created a wonderful design of fresh flowers in gorgeous vases that just pop with colors. I'm so happy to have been able to escape winter, even if it was only for a short while, and capture this luxurious wedding in this gorgeous Caribbean island. Being a photographer definitely has its perks! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Philip John!

Hi everyone! Here's a teaser from Kristy & Phil's Destination Wedding photography in Barbados. This one is after their ceremony as they are walking off literally into the sunset. Going through a lot of images to cull and then edit, but will be worth it. Caribbean destination weddings are just amazing! Can't wait to go back to one of the islands! Geoffrey is from Pennsylvania, USA, Victoria is from Scotland. These two definitely make a great pair and to prepare for their Scotland Wedding Photos this Fall, we captured their New York engagement photos in Central Park. Being a photographer who loves destination weddings, I just love it when couples travel to me! It definitely is a great feeling to have a beautiful couple become relax and just enjoy while a large camera is in front of them. I wanted Victoria and Geoffrey to feel like they own the camera and that they can do anything! As their engagement photos progressed, and we walked around great areas in Central Park in Manhattan, we just captured great New York engagement photo feel to their session. I'm sure these two will have a blast and rock their wedding! I hear Geoffrey may even wear a kilt! Gotta love the Scots! Here's a few teasers from their New York City engagement photographer session. PS for the photographers out there wanting to know what gear I used, I have my Canon Mark III along with Canon lenses from 70-200L II f/2.8, 35mm f/1.4L, 100macro f/2.8L as well as the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art Lens for Canon. Many of the photos below I even used the 100 macro f/2.8 as a portrait lens.

What an amazing destination wedding in Buffalo New York! Our beautiful Buffalo Yacht Club New York wedding photography began long before my team and I flew to Buffalo to capture Mollie and Brian's patriotic marine themed wedding. I captured Mollie and Brian's New York engagement photography photos in Grand Central Terminal Station and city skyline rooftop and we captured so many beautiful moments that they were then featured on Engagement 101 Magazine! Being able to capture their wedding is definitely an honor and we couldn't have been happier to have witnessed the bride and groom during their getting ready at the Buffalo Yacht Club and The Buffalo Club, their vow exchange at St. Mark Church on Woodward Ave, and back to the Buffalo Yacht Club for the reception. Although, after taking a few photos at Chapin Parkway, the bride and groom (and lucky me!) got on a yacht and headed to the Buffalo Club in style! What a grand entrance! Thanks to the crew of the Republic for keeping me from going overboard while I take photos on the Yacht of the couple! This New York City wedding photographer does not swim....so yes... I live for danger and anything to get a shot! After we docked, family and friends greeted the couple and welcomed them to the party. Dinner was held inside the Buffalo Yacht Club, where tables were decorated with table signs saying "starboard" and "port" and the dancing was held outdoors with a beautiful view of the marina. Towards the end of the night, the guests lined up for a spectacular sparkler extravaganza. What a fun and memorable wedding! So happy to have seen Mollie and Brian's journey from their engagement to their wedding. Congratulations to the bride and groom! Here's to a wonderful and bless-filled marriage!
