Congratulations on your wedding! Was it a New York wedding? A destination wedding? Maybe it was at Oheka Castle, or by the beach or water like Peconic Bay Yacht Club, or Old Field Club in Long Island? Regardless of where it was held, I'm sure everything was beautiful, and all the wedding planning leading up to the big day was all worth it. After saying your vows and dancing the night away, it's natural to take some time to enjoy married life - yes, you're married! - and soak in wedding bliss.
How to create a wedding day photography timeline whether you’re in New York, New Jersey, a Destination Wedding, and having a first look, or no first look. Here’s a guide to help you! If you’re getting married in the city, or in the country, you still need to consider travel time, how long to take photos of entire bridal party, how much time to account for family photos of 10 or 50.
How do you plan a destination wedding? We've developed some pointers on getting started planning a destination wedding, outside of general wedding planning tips. As a New York City-based wedding photographer, destination weddings are dear to my heart. My husband and I loved our destination wedding, and planning your own does not have to be complicated. Here are a few steps to consider when planning your wedding at your dream destination.
Congratulations once again to a wonderful couple, who I had such a great time photographing their engagement session and their fabulous wedding Long Island New York Wedding. Their Fox Hollow Catering Westbury wedding was a fairy tale in the making. Their wedding can be described as romantic, soft, intimate, yet fun and elegant. We started the day in Mineola, NY where Ingrid was getting ready in their home. Once her hair and makeup were done, and her bridesmaids helped her in her dress, her mom and other family members were crying with joy once they saw her all dressed. Even Ingrid had tears of joy and it was such a heart warming scene. We headed to St. Aloysius Church in Great Neck, NY for a beautiful ceremony. The church is very significant to the couple and their family since it's where Scott attended with his family. In front of their family and friends, Ingrid and Scott said their vows and sealed their marriage with a kiss. The bridal party headed to Fox Hollow Catering for photography and later to celebrate their nuptials as they party the night away. It was such a great celebration that the dance floor was always filled with guests. Congratulations Ingrid and Scott! Here's to a lifetime of happiness.

Last week I spent a few days working in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a wedding photographer from New York City, the chance to photograph in the desert, with a different scenery than an urban landscape, really appealed to me. I brought with me a few Sew Trendy Accessories dresses, a few more gown dresses, and photographed beautiful women with the Nevada mountains as a backdrop. Just in time for International Women's Day, I wanted to depict strong women, who still showed their feminine side while looking powerful in the glamour photos. Pictured here is Karenn from Las Vegas, a fellow Filipina who I met in Vegas and she was amazing. For the photographers out there, I captured the photograph with my Canon EOS 5D MarkIV, 24-70 2.8L at 27mm, Aperture 2.8, ISO 100, SS 1/200. I had a -3 stop ND Lee filter on my lens and lit Karenn with the help of Magmod spheres, grids and CTO gel on my Flashpoint Godox AD200 camera right on a Westcott light stand fired at full power.
The sun was setting behind the mountains at just after 3:24pm so it was still bright light outside. So bright with the sun directly in front of me, that I always caution to make sure photographers are keeping their eyes and cameras safe from the direct sun. However, at this point the sun, as seen from the photo, just started to go behind the mountain so I was able to open my lens to 2.8aperture from 5.0.
Other equipment used for this session included my SpiderPro Dual Camera System belt from Spider Camera Holster (will never leave home without it!), ThinkTank bag to carry my lenses and flash, SanDisk CF and SD cards, oh and RayBan sunglasses because the Nevada sun is bright!

Today was 60 degrees...and it's only the first week and a half of January! Brings me back to warmer engagement session pre-wedding photos in South Street Seaport and Dumbo locations. Two of my favorite locations! With Audrey and Bart's engagement pre-wedding photography session, we headed first to South Street Seaport, which has been more alive with all the renovations after Hurricane Sandy and many more businesses opening, including some great art exhibits and of course restaurants and retail stores. I really enjoyed how our lovely bride and groom coordinated what they wore. These two red-heads really rocked their session! We wanted to take advantage of all the different areas of South Street Seaport and the dock area. Once we headed to DUMBO, they opted for a more casual feel as we strolled through Jane's Carousel and walked around Brooklyn Bridge. Such breath taking views by the East River looking at the NYC skyline. I love New York City! These two lovely couple from DC had the time of their lives in New York! Little did she know that a surprise marriage proposal was planned. The Groom contacted me and we worked out the details of where I will be, what he envisioned for the photos, and what to expect after. Gapstow Bridge in Central Park is a great NYC surprise proposal location, and it just works with the beautiful iconic backdrop.

Here are some more teasers from Alena and Matt's surprise proposal!!! These two Washington DC residents were such a pleasure to photograph in Central Park New York by Gapstow bridge...(known by many as the Home Alone Bridge). I LOVE capturing New York City wedding proposal photography and this was definitely one of the best!!! More and more couples are booking me to capture the proposal and the engagement session to follow and I am always honored to do so. Being there from the beginning really is a remarkable experience. Seeing Alena's surprised face, hearing her joyous laugh, and watching Matt get down on one knee, well we can't help but sigh through it all. What a romantic day! Enjoy these fave photos of A & M! Holidays in New York City just means couples from everywhere, from California, Florida, Boston, and even Canada, come to the big apple to experience NYC. Melissa and Ryan were in town, missing the kids, but they had a great time in the city that never sleeps. They never really had wedding photos, so we did a formal session in Central Park. I cannot wait to capture Mylisande and Michael's New York wedding photos!!!It's been such a busy summer filled with New York engagement photography that I know I'm behind on my blogs. Here's a few of their engagement photos from their fun session in Brooklyn's DUMBO area including Brooklyn Bridge Park and the pier. From the start you can tell the two are such vibrant New Yorkers with a fun personality. With such busy lives, she's an HR recruiter and he's a nurse as well as an entrepreneur (go entrepreneurs!!), that I wanted to make sure this session was laid back, fun, and stress fee. I made it so by promising ice cream! The two got engaged in Malibu, California, and now their upcoming Fall wedding at the Paramount Country Club in New City will be filled with hues of pinks, shades of grey, gold, and ivory. Sounds amazing already! Can't wait for the big day and stay tuned for more photos to follow!

A beautiful New York City wedding at Terrace on the Park with Anita and Adriane. This New York and New Jersey couple are a match-made in heaven. Their wedding in the gardens terrace in Terrace on the Park were attended by close family and friends. The light drizzle meant great luck and joy bestowed upon them. When they exchanged their vows, their families had tears in their eyes that these two beautiful women found their Happily-Ever-After. Congratulations again Anita and Adriane! Thank You! The plan...Jeremy will bring Kristin and her family and cousins for a walkabout in New York City's Central Park. The goal...get her to the "Home Alone Bridge" (aka Gapstow Bridge) and do a New York City surprise proposal in Central Park by Gapstow Bridge! Always a great New York surprise proposal idea!
The reality...after some adventurous texts back and forth (pretending to catch them all to cover the fact we're texting each other)...and because there were a lot of people and they couldn't find the bridge, I told Jeremy what I was wearing, he found me, he tells his best friend where I am and they proceeded to get the group to follow them as I lead them to the bridge. Finally at the location, I pretend to be photographing random birds with my assistant (who Kristin thought was snap chatting on her phone to hide the fact she's trying to take some behind the scenes photos). At some point Jeremy tells the group the marriage proposal plan and they all pretend to be looking for something in Central Park so Jeremy can lead Kristin to the location...
The success...We do not hear what they're saying...but they both looked adorably romantic, a couple in love in Central Park. He pulls out the ring...he gets down on one knee...proposes, and she said "YES!"
Congratulations Jeremy and Kristin! I'm very happy, humbled and honored to have captured this momentous moment.

I had the pleasure of capturing Tatyana and Bryan's Central Park Conservatory Garden engagement session in Manhattan's Upper East Side on 105th street entrance. The park is a great background for any New York engagement photos and they definitely cater to New York weddings as well. When we walked in, the cherry blossoms were blooming, the tulips were reaching for the sun, the grass was green, and of course there were people everywhere! That's all right, since as a professional, I work with my bride and groom to ensure they have a blast as well as ensure their photos look like it's just them in the park. Tatyana was glowing and she picked a dress that Carrie from Sex in the City also wore...LOVE it! Bryan just looks dashing in his blue button down shirt and slacks. Definitely a great couple to photograph and work with. I wanted to showcase Tatyana's gorgeous dress in many of the photos as well as just show the romance in the simple posing given to the couple. Most of the time, I just told them to hold each other since that's your future spouse! Once they ear that, they get that twinkle and smile and the rest is captured. Hope you enjoy the teasers below!

When it comes to fine art NYC boudoir photography, there's nothing like helping women feel empowered, beautiful, sexy, and fierce. Miss G had her boudoir photos done here in NYC. Prior to her big day, Miss G and I reviewed her mood board weeks before her session, so she can decide on the clothing pieces, color, and makeup she'd like for her session.On the day of her boudoir photography session, we laid out her clothing pieces and chose the few that we both agreed will work with her mood board. We next delved into some much needed pampering, with full hair and makeup done in our NYC studio. After all, planning a destination wedding called for some time for herself, for Miss G to focus solely on herself, and nothing else. After her hair and makeup, on to her boudoir session. I had a great time capturing these beautiful photos of Miss G, and after the editing, I created a beautiful album she wanted to create for her then fiancé, now husband. She has told me the photos were very loved my her husband, but most of all, Miss G loved her photos, which really is the best complement. Here are a few teasers from her session. I just needed to show this teaser from another Oahu Hawaii wedding photography I had the pleasure to capture!!! The wedding took place at the Hale Ohana House's Terrace and the whole day was magical...who cares that hurricane Ana was hitting us since it didn't dampen the wedding!!! What a fabulous day to take a few Brooklyn engagement photos. A New York wedding photographer's dream is to have a stylish couple and a great backdrop. Well here's a teaser from My and Michael's engagement photo session with the Brooklyn Bridge and Freedom Tower as a backdrop. We did start our day at Jacques Torres, (wicked hot chocolate!) and I can't wait to share those photos so stay tuned and follow my blog and my Facebook page. Make sure to "Like" and "Follow"! I wanted to keep the day using natural light, but in this shot below, I wanted to show the dramatic blue skies that showed off in the distance, which you couldn't see when just using natural light. With how My and Michael were dressed, it called for drama and a contrast to the rest of their Engagement photos shoot in Brooklyn. Exposing for the couple would mean losing details from the clouds. I did try to bring the clouds back, but using off-camera lighting, it was done in-camera.

When you have one beautiful bride and one handsome groom, you get a beautiful couple and an absolutely beautiful wedding. I LOVE capturing weddings! This Brooklyn New York wedding photography started out in Queens, NY in Middle Village as the bride and groom said their "I Do's" in Our Lady of Hope church. When the bride walked down the aisle, you can see that the groom's eyes were only on his beautiful bride. Witnessed by their closest family and friends, they were pronounced as husband and wife and their new beginning commenced with cheers, smiles, laughter and joy. After a view portraits with the family, we headed to DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge park to capture some more gorgeous photos. Out of the many brides and grooms taking photos that day, J + J were the most gorgeous! Of course I could be biased :-). I treated the couple (and the videographer!) to a ride on Jane's Carousel and captured the cutest moments. Le sigh! (So when you hire Angelica Criscuolo Photography, everyone gets a free Carousel rides! ha!) A few more shots by the water in front of the Brooklyn Bridge, we were then headed to Giando on the Water for the fun reception. I love this venue! You have a view of the bridges, you get a beautiful sunset, and the food was amazing. The guests enjoyed themselves tremendously and every single photos I took, families and friends were always smiling, laughing, dancing, and celebrating along with the bride and groom.
Nothing beats a fantastic wedding. We're so glad to have been a part of it all!
