New York Wedding Photography Staten Island & New Jersey - Palisadium - S + E

It is always a pleasure when a couple books you for their engagement photos and then love those photos then book you for the wedding! I enjoyed capturing Samantha and Eugene's New York engagement photos at the High Line and honored to have captured their  wedding. They both got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island. If you look closely you can see Samantha and Eugene's special friend with Samantha as she got ready. Can't leave home without him! While I was capturing the ladies getting ready, my 2nd photographer, Hendrick, was capturing the men getting ready and hanging out. It definitely is worth having two sets of eyes for a wedding! The ceremony took place at the beautiful St.Patrick's Place also located in Staten Island New York. When Samantha walked down the aisle Eugene had tears in his eyes as he watched his bride make her way down the aisle with her parents. It was a beautiful moment and when they said their vows, and the priest announced Eugene may kiss his bride, the church rang with applause. Right after Samantha and Eugene did their secret handshake commemorating the moment. We were off to the Palisadium in New Jersey for the reception and everyone was happy to welcome the new Mr and Mrs into the dance floor. It was a day to remember and a New York and New Jersey wedding photography we cannot forget.

New York Wedding Photography - Marina Del Rey, Bronx

So happy to be able to share these photos from Kathryn and Joseph's  New York wedding photography! The wedding was held in the Bronx, NY and it was a blast! The bride got ready in their home while the groom got ready at his parent's home a few minutes down the street. First, as soon as I walked in K & J's beautiful home I was excited to see all their engagement photos were up on the wall! Now they're going to need room for all these wedding photos of their fun and very special day. When I was photographing Kathryn's dress and shoes, I adored the "I DO" crystals placed on the bottom of her David Tutera shoes!!! I also loved how the ladies wore a beautiful royal purple gown. The gown had a one-shoulder and showed everyone's beautiful personalities. These ladies all knew how to be fashionable! They just complimented the men who instead of wearing the traditional black tuxedo, opted for a gray suit. On our way to the church, the bride was whisked off by her dad in Silverstar Limousine's Rolls Royce. As soon as Kathryn walked down that aisle, she only had eyes for Joseph and he in turn couldn't look away. As they said their vows and with all their family and friends as witness, they set off to begin their new journey as husband and wife. Although, before they continue on we all continued to Marina Del Rey for a fun-filled reception. When I was taking detailed photos during the cocktail hour, I immediately noticed their "high-five" themed cake topper. It's what Kathryn and Joseph loved to do when they're having fun and are excited, so there definitely was  a lot of high-fives all around. There was also a lot of dipping action going on! Joseph loves to dip Kathryn and they do it well! All in all, it really was a fabulous time and everyone had a blast. It was even a treat for the audience when a few friends walked into the dance floor with sparklers in tow as they circled the bride and groom and lit their way to love and happiness. New York Wedding Photographer - Engagement Proposal at The Top of the Rock | Lisa & Courtney

We can't wait to share more photos from Lisa and Courtney's surprise proposal! A great New York Wedding Photographer Engagement Proposal held at the Top of the Rock in Rockefeller Center! To be 70 floors on top of the world with such great views, it was definitely a moment to remember. With Courtney and I planning to have him ask Matt to "take a photo of them"…the iPhone was actually set to record and that was our cue to capture him asking his one true love to be his wife! A very surprised Lisa couldn't believe it! Actually, she told us that her first thought before she knew what was happening (after he asked Matt to take a photo of them) was "why did he decide to tie his shoe laces now?"!!! If I were in her shoes, my upbringing would have kicked in too…c'mon…why hold up the person that's going to take a photo of us?! :-)…Well needless to say it was a great plan and we captured it all. New York Wedding Photographer | River Cafe Brooklyn DUMBO | S + G

We're so happy to share this winter wedding! This New York Wedding photographer was very fortunate to capture S+G's wedding at the River Cafe in Brooklyn's DUMBO. The ceremony was a very intimate affair and the bride looked dazzling in a sweetheart cut gown that flowed into a mermaid style. the beautiful dress fit the bride's classic beauty and the groom looked dashing in his tux that only distinguished gentlemen can pull off. What a gorgeous couple! With the New York City skyline as a backdrop, these two said their "I Do's" and started a new journey in their lives. After a lighthearted cocktail hour after the ceremony, we walked around Brooklyn Bridge Park where the bride first changed into her second dress, a classic one-shoulder red gown. We then headed to Flushing, Queens for the traditional tea ceremony and dinner reception, where close family and friends have already gathered to await and toast the couple. Congratulations to the new couple! May you both enjoy your wonderful lives together and what a great way to start the New Year!

NYC Central Park Engagement Photos | Melissa + Mike

A NYC engagement session complete with a lovely, fun, energetic couple, Central Park background, and a lovable french bulldog! I love it when couples do bring their very well behaved puppies to a session. It makes the engagement session fun, and I get to play with a puppy! By the way, ANY puppy whether they are bigger than my petite frame or if they can fit in my bag is considered a puppy in my world. My husband shakes his head when I call a great dane a puppy and try to hug and pet it as if I'm about to pick it up…but that's just me.

Back to Melissa and Mike, they are just adorable together and I'm very happy to share these NYC Central Park engagement photos of this happy couple. When asked what they loved about one another and how they knew their other half was the one, Mike stated, " She gets me.  I can be as ridiculous as I want and we both find it hysterical.  We constantly share laughs together. She accepts me for everything that I am (flaws and all).  She’s absolutely beautiful in every which way in my eyes.  Her traits also compliment mine.  Her strengths are my weaknesses and vice versa. She keeps me balanced in many ways.  She’s my partner in crime and I can’t see myself spending my life without her." Yes ladies, you can say AWWWWW.

Melissa’s response was: "He’s just my other half.  I enjoy sharing everything with him from stories, to laughter, to hard times, and new experiences.  He is the person I can easily grow old with because I know that we can get through anything together, and enjoy whatever life has to offer us.  Although we are so very different, it certainly balances us, and what I think makes us such a great couple.  We know we are so very lucky to have found each other, and I most certainly could not imagine not having him beside me for the rest of my life."

THE PROPOSAL:

Mike's Side: "Took her to the Museum of Natural History.  We both love watching nature shows and are big fans of animals.  I knew there was a big diamond exhibited in the rocks and special gems room.  Took her down there.. asked her what she thought of diamond displayed, scoffed at her response and said “ehhhh.. I like this one better”, showed her ring, pulled her aside, got down on one knee, and proceeded to propose."

Melissa’s Side:  "With a 1000% honesty his proposal could not have been any better.  It was so perfect and unlike anything I could have ever expected.  I remember frolicking all through the museum just yelling over and over again that we were engaged!!!  I also loved that he had talked to my mom about proposing and kept her in the know, as she was very sick and knowing he was the one I would be spending my life with made her extremely happy."

I LOVE their proposal story! Definitely a great way to start their happily ever after…and their next step to their wonderful journey is their wedding in Paradisus in Punta Cana in May 2014!!! My readers and followers know I was a Destination Wedding Bride in Punta Cana and Paradisus was next to Melia Caribe Tropical where we got married so we know firsthand they will have a beautiful and amazing destination wedding!!!

FINALLY! This New York wedding photographer is very excited to share these beautiful Indian wedding photos of Reena and Jagsheer! I LOVE Southeast Asian weddings! The culture, the ceremony, the colorful clothing, and fun and inviting atmosphere, it's all amazing to see, experience and photograph! The bride and groom got ready in Bayside and then we headed to the Hindu Center in Flushing, Queens NY. I knew this area so well since I grew up here and I felt blessed to be capturing a wedding right by where I attended school. After the ceremony we were all off to Nanking restaurant. As much as I love Southeast Asian weddings, I love the food! Just like Filipinos you have a group of families and friends together, plus add food, then you have a fun atmosphere. It was just a great time and all the guests were smiling, laughing, and loving the bride and groom. NYC Engagement Photo Ideas in Central Park | Kathryn+Joseph

I love it when couples say they're nervous about being in front of the camera...but next thing you know they're just having too much fun and I get dips and spontaneous laughter throughout the session! Kathryn and Joseph are truly one of those couples you would love to photograph. They're fun, sincere, in love, and will sit in the middle of Literary Walk for their NYC engagement photo ideas in Central Park. Talk about stopping traffic! Well foot traffic anyway. We're really looking forward to their spring 2014 wedding next March at the Marina Del Rey! Yes, we're already thinking about spring even though we haven't even felt the brunt of Fall yet! NYC Queens LIC Engagement Photos with NYPD's Amanda & Kenneth

Check out this teaser from Amanda and Kenneth's NYC Queens LIC engagement photos session. This was such a fun shoot and very happy to have met such a great couple. They are both actually NYPD officers and they left their uniforms at home and dressed up in a different kind of blue. It was actually funny since there was traffic heading to the park and of course we MAY have been speeding a bit so we wondered if we did get pulled over, would the fellow officer let us go since we were photographing not just one, but two police officers! The likelihood of that happening was nil, so we decided to slow down :-). In any case, we had a great time and I'm excited to share these teasers! I know I haven't been blogging lately, will do more of that in the upcoming months as it "slows" down for this New York wedding photographer, but until then, I'm glad to share these teasers from Reena and Jagsheer's New York engagement photo ideas session in Gantry State Park in LIC Queens! From the start they were both fun, energetic, and just filled with love for one another that they made it a BREEZE to photograph them and capture their personalities! You can see for yourself how this fashionable pair also love to stay fit and work out that they made sure to capture a few shots of them flexing. NYC Surprise Proposal | Engagement | City Hall Park - Alex + Lea

This past weekend I had the pleasure of speaking with Alex who had planned on a NYC Surprise proposal for his beloved Lea! This NYC Surprise proposal took place in City Hall Park, close to where the couple lived. Alex really thought of everything from scouting the area where he planned to propose, and to contacting a friend, John, who kindly sat on the bench Alex planned on taking Lea. So there was John, the bench holder....and of course being a busy Saturday next to the Brooklyn Bridge there were a ton of people milling about and looking at the current art work displayed in the park. Good thing Matt was with me so he strolled to the other side of John and the two chatted away to ensure no one sat on the bench!!! Finally, here comes Alex and Lea...Now it was a very good thing there was an art work display (a mashed up bicycle) just near the bench. This helped me masked the fact that I was taking photos of them strolling towards us, so to the passing eye it just looks like another person taking photos of the art work! I really was concentrating on getting all the angles of that bike (see below)...Of course I really was eyeing the love birds and getting ready for the big moment. Alex in the meantime told Lea they were meeting his Uncle and of course have dinner after.

Everything went smoothly, and with Lea close to tears she said "YES"!!! and we now have a happily engaged couple! So glad to have been a part of it all. Here are just a few photos from their big day! I LOVE capturing proposals!!! I love it even more when the new bride-to-be can't stop smiling the whole time!

NYC Central Park Wedding Engagement Photographer | Tracy & Chris

Nothing like a NYC Central Park wedding engagement photographer's day than spending time at the Ramble for a fun and unique engagement session! Tracy and Chris were so much fun to photograph and really love how they put thought into their photo shoot. Not only did they coordinated their outfits very well, they also brought fun props for the engagement photos! I love props and the "&" sign as well as confetti added to the dazzle of their photo shoot. The two love birds met when they were in High School, but were just friends until they realize their friendship meant a lot more to them.They started dating and finally Chris proposed during Tracy's niece's 4th birthday in front of the whole family. Now Chris is a comedian...literally (www.chrisjcomedy.net), and of course he just had to have a microphone for the event so everyone knew what was going on! Tracy, a teacher, of course said yes and now the two have started a new journey as husband and wife.

Congratulations Tracy and Chris!!! It was such a blessing to capture your love with my lens!

New York Wedding Photographer | Long Island | Snapper Inn - Katelyn + Omarr

I'm very happy to share these teasers from this fabulous Long Island, NY wedding held at the Snapper Inn! This New York Wedding Photographer had a blast capturing Katelyn and Omarr's wedding and even giddy being able to share photos so close to their 2-month wedding anniversary! Family and friends witnessed a beautiful ceremony held underneath a gorgeous tree and by the waterfront. A beautiful setting with the sea to the right, blue skies up above, and love all around. Family and friends enjoyed music and dancing and as a witness they were all such a fun group! The only thing that got me nervous was shooting on the pier...'cause this NYC photographer will do anything for her shot, but unfortunately a wrong turn or step on the pier and there I go into the water...and I can't swim! Fear aside, it was just a joyous occasion and we're so honored to have been a part of it all.
