ABOUT YOUR SESSION
-Sessions are from 1 to 1.5 hours in length (can add additional hours) based on your actual package.
-We can photograph at an outdoor location, but for newborns, it's at the family's home.
-An outdoor session is done during the Golden hour (early morning or close to sunset, but will try to accommodate schedules).
-For maternity sessions, I have a few flowy dresses that you may be able to use, but you can purchase your own through Etsy., etc.
-Location can be at a park, city backdrop like DUMBO or Gantry State Park LIC, The High Line, South Street Seaport, etc. However, the best location is that special place that has meaning for you since I find such sites bring out the best in a person and they tend to be more relaxed in their preferred location.
-Rain or Shine! Umbrellas, rain boots, snowshoes, etc., are all great props.

NEWBORNS & BABIES:
-The best time to photograph newborns is when they are within their first two weeks (earlier the better so ten days is best!) where they are mostly sleeping and can be posed in the cutest positions without waking them.
-Also, the first few weeks is also best since after a few weeks a baby will develop baby acne, dry skin, etc.
-Contact me about eight weeks before your due date so we can schedule your newborn session.
-However, if your bundle of joy has already arrived, call me as soon as you can, and I will do my best to set up an agreeable session date.
-For "older" babies the session will depend on the child, which is why newborn, babies, and children sessions may take more than 2 hours!
-I do not rush the session and do need the assistance of the parents to make sure the child is comfortable.
-If they need to be fed or held and soothed, by all means, I will stop the shoot to give the child time to relax.
-For any session with newborns and children, any distracting noise should be avoided. Babies are very curious, so I prefer for them to focus on one parent's voice.
-If there are other children and family members in the household, it's preferable they are not in the same room.
-If siblings and other family members are part of the session, they can be brought in at a later time.
-Regarding clothing, newborns are typically not clothed and for older babies and children, the less distracting, the better.
-If the parent has ideas of what they want their children to wear we can definitely discuss it.
-If you have props you want to use, definitely let me know. Etsy and other online stores have fantastic prop selections for newborns.
-I have a few select wraps and knit hats, but all other types of props are provided by the family.
