Millbrook New York Wedding Photographer |Hudson Valley DIY photos| Christine + Adam Vintage
I have been waiting to blog this wedding! The new Mr. and Mrs. Fischer are just fabulous together and I'm so happy to have shared in their memories for their NYC engagement photography session and of course their upstate New York wedding photography extravaganza in Millbrook, NY! From beginning until the end the wedding was amazing. I first met Christine and Adam when we shot their engagement photos at the beautiful Conservatory Garden in Central Park. Their story as well as their great personalities and photogenic selves were just an editor's dream that they were also published on Engagement 101's online magazine, YourEngagement101.com. Christine and Adam did such a great job incorporating their personalities into their special day. From all the DIY signs (and there were man!), the vintage floral succulents settings on the table, and from the stars wrapped overhead underneath the tent that held their reception, to their adorable cake with a laser cut likeness of their image, it was all a sight to behold. Definitely a wedding photographer's dream come true! I had the pleasure of working with a fun bride and groom where their top photo must-haves include jumping on a trampoline in their wedding dress and suit, and willing to stand still (forever if they had to) to get the sparkler photos they wanted. The day began in Junto farms a few miles from Charlotte's Restaurant in Milbrook, NY. The grounds were perfect for them since the gorgeous architecture and beautiful scenery were perfect backdrops for this highly fashion-forward bride and groom. Christine's Yoshi Yamamoto's dress was finished with a bird cage veil that showed off her beautiful neckline and Jimmy Choo shoes to die for, and Adam was just dashing in a brown Ted Baker suit, which he finished with a green themed bow-tie that matched the bridesmaid's gorgeous mint green convertible wrap dresses created by Coralie Beaux. After a beautiful first look underneath a canopy of trees, we were off to the gardens for some bridal party portraits, and of course for the bride and groom to jump on the infamous trampoline. After a few laughs, the wedding party traveled the few miles to Charlotte's Restaurant for their outdoor wedding. The wedding and cocktail areas were just picture perfect. It was a beautiful day and the aisle was decorated in pots or mason jars filled with flowers by Lavender & Leaf Designs.
During the reception, the bride and groom opted to lock a bottle of wine in a gorgeous wooden case with their initials engraved, as opposed to a sand ceremony or candle ceremony. Such a unique idea to look forward to opening on their anniversary! With their written vows, Christine and Adam kissed as man and wife and their journey began with their closest family and friends as witnesses.
The reception area was as spectacular with the vintage feel of the floral arrangements in addition to the signs created by the bride and groom and their entourage. One of the greatest DIY unique ideas I have seen is of Christine and Adam using Mason Jars as escort "cards" and the guest's name and table number were written on the jars. The jars were also favors and Christine and Adam had a vintage sign stating "Find Your Seat & Save Some Treat!" telling guests they should fill their jars with as much candy as they want from the candy bar to take home as favors. We got jars too! Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Fischer!!! We definitely took some lollipops and M&Ms...but I think Matthew filled his jar with just M&Ms :-). He's been eyeing my jar and once in awhile I have to bat him off the goodies!
With the top of the tent filled with strung stars and lights, the reception just illuminated as if we were underneath the stars. The romantic feel, the fun dancing, in which a little flower girl stole the dance floor, and family and friends just enjoying a beautiful evening just made the end of the first day of the bride and grooms journey memorable.
We ended the night with lighting some sparklers...LOVE was the theme and love was definitely everywhere.
Thank you Christine and Adam for trusting in this New York wedding photographer to capture your fun-filled wedding and all the memories and details. We wish you many blessings and to have more new beginnings and adventures.
